A Boy's Dream

'A Boy's Dream

Tis of life in the bigger World out there the

young teenager day-dream

Far from his parents home by the babbling stream

That flow to the river bound for the sea shore

On a journey destined to last forever more.

He day-dreams of big towns and cities far away

And in the old Valley he surely won't stay

He reads books on life of the big World out there

His future won't be in the Valley he will live elsewhere.

Too young to leave home yet he is only fourteen

But so much in the big World out there to be seen

In four years from now he plans to emigrate

Sixteen Seasons does not seem that long to wait

To start his adventure in the big World out there

Far from the quiet Vale of the wild mountain hare

His life is ahead of him and time is on his side

And he is resolved to travel far and wide
